What really shocks me the most about Endometriosis is the lack of awareness. Do you know it is? Have you heard of it before? Did you know 1 in 10 women suffer with it?
Well take me back to May 2016 and I would have answered no to all of the above. Not because I’m ignorant, or dumb or oblivious to anything around me – but because there is no awareness anywhere !!!
Due to this horrendous lack of awareness, it is taking on average 10 years for women to get a diagnosis of endo. 10 years??? For an illness that can affect someone’s life so much, why on earth in 2017 is it taking 10 years!
I’m not much of a writer, but I hope to write about my own experiences, and information on endo that can help young girls/women who are going through the same. Information for people about to under go an operation, to help people lead and live a normal life, whilst living with the demon that is Endometriosis. ✨
